Today’s retirees are fitter, healthier and better educated than any previous generation. They also have much greater expectations for their retirement life. No longer is retirement a “reward”, a nirvana-like place where there are no more decisions to be made, no schedules to keep, no hassles, just rest and relaxation. Ideally, our Art of Retirement coaching should be experienced 2-3 years before the actual retirement date and will:
- provide a smooth transition plan for the individual’s “legacy” knowledge to the organization
- reinforce specific succession planning objectives
- send a clear message to all employees that you appreciate their service as individuals
- assist pre-retirees explore their choices in the six life arenas of career, family life, interpersonal relationships, self awareness, spiritual life and leisure.
